In 2016, the National Park Service is celebrating its 100th birthday. Celebrate the National Park Service Centennial by using your science-savvy skills during the Centennial BioBlitz events hosted at Fort Caroline National Memorial May 20-21, 2016.
For tech savvy volunteers, they'd like you to use the iNaturalist app to record observations or team up with small groups as an iNaturalist Pro-Observer recording the team observations.
The best news is that you don't have to know bugs to come out and learn about them and maybe even surprise yourself with how many you can identify!
General Assistance Volunteer- Any volunteer willing to help with one of the various tasks needed during the event such as set-up, safety, parking, clean-up, and other duties as assigned.
Volunteer shifts are:
Friday May 20: 6:00 pm-9:00 pm
Saturday May 21: 9:00 am- 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm-4:00 pm.
