10,000 Trees Jax is a local community organization that aims to plant 10,000 native trees in Jacksonville in just 2 years. On January 30 the Jacksonville Jaycees will help plant over a 1,000 longleaf pine seedlings at Pumpkin Hill Creek State Preserve as part of restoration efforts at the park.

To participate bring a refillable container for water and wear closed-toed shoes. We will meet Ranger Meghan at the ranger station at 9:00 am. Carpooling is encouraged.

Long pants, long shirt, work gloves, bugs spray and sun screen are highly recommended.

Since the planting ends at lunch time...let's have a picnic! Bring your lunch and picnic blanket to enjoy this beautiful state park.
