Join the Jacksonville Jaycees as we volunteer for the 32nd annual Spooktacular event presented by Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens! This annual event is the zoo’s biggest fundraiser of the year and a spooky good time! Your participation is not only helping us care for our zoo animals, but animals throughout the world through the many conservation efforts JZG supports.

We will pass out candy and greet children as they pass through the Candy Trail. Our volunteer shift is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26. Volunteers should get to the zoo no later than 5:30 p.m. and can expect to be there until around 10:30-11 p.m.

As a thank you for your participation, the Zoo will offer each volunteer will the option to receive one Spooktacular ticket, one ZOOLights ticket or one general admission Zoo ticket!

Volunteers must be over the age of 14. There is a dress code and form for you to pre-fill out, so please be sure to register if you plan on attending.

Volunteer Info From the Zoo:

• All group members need to arrive to the zoo NO LATER THAN 5:30 pm.  The address is 370 Zoo Parkway, Jacksonville, FL 32218.

• When you enter the zoo parking lot, continue straight as if you are heading toward the Picnic Grove area.  The Education campus is a set of tan buildings to the right of Picnic Grove in the upper corner marked by signs that read “JaxZoo EDU” (map attached).  Please park in general guest parking as close as you can to the campus.

• After going through the Education gate, you will visit the check-in table where they will direct you.  A volunteer department staff person will walk you to your area and complete a brief orientation to run through your responsibilities for the evening.

• The event starts promptly at 6:30 pm.  We will do our best to get everyone out in a timely manner, but all volunteers should expect to stay until between 10:30 – 11:00 pm.  Volunteers will check out at the Education campus at the end of the night
